(UPDATED: Friday, March 20, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.)
Hey River Rats,
We have just received word that Grand Canyon National Park will be suspending river trips until May 21.
This will be a very busy time for our office and we ask that you please be patient as we work to accommodate all of our guests. We are grateful for how understanding everyone has been, as things are changing day by day.
For those whose trip start date is before May 21:
Please refer to the email we sent you with instructions to reschedule your trip later in 2020 or 2021 or to get your full refund.
For those whose trip start date is after May 21:
According to the National Park Service (NPS), “resumption of river trips will be evaluated in mid-April pending current CDC guidance.” We appreciate you waiting with us to see how things unfold. We will keep preparing for trips that launch after May 21, so we have what we need to put your trip together (forms, payments, etc.) once trips resume.
Again, we appreciate your patience, and we sincerely thank you for your understanding. We’ve spoken with a lot of guests recently and we’ve been heart-warmed by how gracious, flexible and kind everybody has been. We can’t thank you enough for sticking with us in this difficult time.
All the best,
Bruce Winter, Owner Grand Canyon Whitewater
