Hi River Rats,
Like everyone, we have been impacted by the pandemic, and we want to share with you how our 2020 season went. The Grand Canyon National Park Service (NPS) closed all river trips through June 13, 2020. Grand Canyon outfitters worked with NPS Public Health officials to create COVID mitigation strategies. With protocols in place, we ran all of our trips through the end of the season. We are happy to report that, with over 500 guests, we did not have any COVID-19 cases connected with our river trips. We are thankful to our guests and staff for their diligent adherence to additional safety measures that were put in place last season.
So what does the 2021 season look like? We are keeping many of the protocols that we implemented successfully in 2020. Keep in mind that as local, state, and federal guidelines continue to evolve, we’ll also be adjusting our protocols to operate as safely as possible.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to taking you on the trip of a lifetime!
Let’s Go Rafting,
The GCW Team
