Only Have One Day?

Grand Canyon Whitewater does not offer ANY trips less than 4 days in length. Because of the geography of the Grand Canyon (mile-high canyon walls), there are only a few places in the entire Grand Canyon where you can get people and boats on and off the river. All of those spots are a few days apart. The shortest rafting trip you’ll find you can do in Grand Canyon is a 3-day trip, and this trip is typically run in and out of Las Vegas. (Grand Canyon Whitewater does not offer a 3-day trip, for info contact our sister company Arizona River Runners at 800-477-7238)

Bright Angel Bicycles (928-638-3055), located in Grand Canyon Village at South Rim, offers guided bicycle tours as well as bicycle rentals. Their most popular ride “The Hermit Road Package” includes a shuttle to a great bike riding area in the park where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Grand Canyon without vehicle congestion.

All-Star Grand Canyon Tours (800-940-0445) creates vacations for all types of travelers. They provide a Daily Grand Canyon Sightseeing Tour round-trip from Flagstaff & Williams, Daily Grand Canyon Hiking Tours and fully outfitted and guided Backpacking trips in Grand Canyon National Park.

Hidden Canyon Kayak (928-660-1836) offers guided kayaking excursions on Lake Powell for all experience levels as well as kayak rentals. A variety of kayak trip options from half-day trips to 5-day trips allow guests to see spectacular hidden slot canyons on Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

What’s Your “Must-Have” on a Grand Canyon River Trip?

We’ve all got it: that one thing we just cannot live without on a river trip. It might not be on the packing list but, by golly, we’re bringing it. For me, it’s leave-in hair conditioner and a pair of nail clippers. For Evan, it’s a journal or a good book. I’ve never seen Lindsay […]

We Need Your Help! What Would You Like To See Before Your Trip?

I took my first river trip in the Canyon in 2012. With some very basic camera equipment in hand, I was charged by Grand Canyon Whitewater (GCW) to capture footage and create a promotional video that could be used on their website. The outcome was the video below. Two years later, I found my way […]
