The team behind Grand Canyon Whitewater has been part of the Grand Canyon rafting community since the 1970s. Through countless hours spent guiding and rafting the Colorado River, this team has grown to be an innovative, dynamic and well-respected Grand Canyon rafting outfitter.
A chance meeting in Europe and a love of the Grand Canyon brought Bill and Bruce together in the 1970s to work as guides on the mighty Colorado River through Grand Canyon. Later, in 1985, these two river rats had the opportunity to buy an established rafting company called Arizona River Runners. With college degrees and the insight and background of having been guides, they stepped up to the management/owner level and continued ARR’s mission to “provide countless others with the opportunity to experience the awesome nature of the spectacular Grand Canyon by rafting the Colorado River.”

With Arizona River Runners operating smoothly, Bill and Bruce expanded their presence in Grand Canyon and teamed up with Scott Seyler, to become the owners of Grand Canyon Whitewater.
Colorado River rafting through the Grand Canyon gives both guides and customers a chance to experience the true spirit of the Canyon, gain a new perspective on life, and connect with many other like-minded people who appreciate this unique outdoor environment.
